As the first step of your flight training, our Basic Aeronautical Knowledge (BAK) Theory Course is a short aviation course in Sydney providing you with the essentials required to become a pilot. Whether you are simply interested in how a plane flies or you wish to study towards your certificate before you commence your flying lessons in Sydney, then this short course is for you!

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of your Basic Aeronautical Knowledge pilot course in Sydney, you will have a true understanding of how airplanes fly, how to communicate to air traffic control/other pilots and essential aviation terminology/abbreviations knowledge. Additionally, this aviation course in Sydney covers flight rules and procedures, as well as providing you with essential pilot knowledge of weather and the environment. Upon completion of your Exam, you will receive your RAAus recognised, BAK completion certificate.
